Are you passionate about building relationships with community organizations and other families experiencing racism? Are you an Indigenous or racialized parent or caregiver living in Northern BC, the Interior or Vancouver Island/Coast? We are recruiting up to ten Regional Peer Engagement Leads for our K-12 Without Racism project — and we want to hear from you!

At the Centre for Family Equity, we propose evidence-based public policy solutions to poverty that create real opportunities for families to thrive. Through our K-12 Without Racism Project, parents and caregivers with lived experience of racism are leading the way to drive real change to address systemic racism across multiple areas of BC's public education system.

Hearing from parents and families in different communities across the province is critical to this work and will help shape the next phase of our project. As a Regional Peer Engagement Lead, you will help guide the heart and direction of the K-12 Without Racism project in your region.

To apply for this role, you must:

• Be an Indigenous or racialized parent or caregiver to Indigenous and/or racialized child(ren) recently or currently in the K-12 public school system in BC. 
• Live in one of the three distinct regions in BC: Northern BC, the Interior, and Vancouver Island/Coast. 
• Be available to commit (to the project for) approximately 8 hours per month from September 2026 to March 2027. 

Training is included — we will support all project participants to gain new skills and thrive in their roles!  As a Regional Peer Engagement Lead, you will receive $200 honoraria per month to thank you for your important work.
