The 2024 Provincial General Election is October 19th. We’ve prepared a Community Election Guide to help raise awareness about the issues Centre for Family Equity members care about.
Raising issues during elections not only shapes public awareness but also strengthens democracy by encouraging active participation and accountability.
You can use our Community Election Guide to ensure that political debates are relevant, responsive, and focused on the needs and concerns of CFE members and all families struggling with poverty in BC.
Our Community Election Guide offers information about how to engage with candidates and political parties, and includes research on family poverty and sample questions for candidates related to our four focus areas: affordability and poverty; quality jobs and liveable incomes; labour market access; and emergency adaptation and resilience.
There are many ways to raise issues during an election period - learn more about how you can get involved!
